We deliver globally and have successfully completed thousands of international shipments over our 25+ year history. Guruji Chair (Aarsun Woods) is an internationally registered trademark in 35 countries, and our shipping infrastructure matches our global reach.
We have tie-ups with international logistics firms including DHL Express, UPS, FedEx/TNT, and India Post for door delivery, subject to service availability in your country. We also accommodate client-preferred carriers where available in India.
We have negotiated best-in-class rates for air transport and have successfully delivered thousands of orders globally by air. Approximate delivery time is 7–12 working days from the date of shipment, depending on the destination.
What you need for air delivery: Upon arrival at the destination country, the client will need to present valid identity documents to customs authorities and pay any applicable import duty. India is actively signing Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) that are reducing or eliminating import duties in several countries.
The ordered item is delivered to the nearest seaport or dry port from your destination, as mutually agreed. Once the shipment arrives at the destination port, you will be informed for clearance and pickup.
You will need to arrange for a customs clearance agent at the respective port. Additional charges — port handling fees, agent fees, and import duties — are payable locally and will be advised by your local agent.
For clients who prefer full door delivery by sea, we also provide this end-to-end service. Once the shipment is handed over to our freight agent in India, the partner agent in the importing country gets in touch with you and provides transit updates. You will need to:
Post-COVID Note: Some delivery regulations and agent requirements have changed and continue to evolve. We recommend checking with your local agent for the latest requirements at your destination.
| Term | Full Form | Best For | How It Works |
|---|---|---|---|
| LCL | Less Container Load | Smaller orders (e.g. a single sofa set) | Your goods are consolidated with other shipments in a shared container by a freight forwarder. |
| FCL (20ft) | Full Container Load – 20 ft | Medium to large orders | A dedicated 20-foot container is hired exclusively for your shipment. |
| FCL (40ft) | Full Container Load – 40 ft | Very large / wholesale orders | A dedicated 40-foot container for maximum volume shipment. |
Documentation and custom requirements are essentially the same for both LCL and FCL modes. Our team will advise on the most cost-effective mode based on your order volume.
Every country levies its own import duties and taxes, and rates vary. India has recently entered into several Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) that significantly reduce import duties in select countries.
Import duties and taxes are NOT prepaid by Guruji Chair under any shipping mode — air or sea. Duties can only be determined once the shipment arrives at the destination port and is assessed by the customs officer of that country. The customer is responsible for paying all applicable import duties.
For most countries, customs charges are equivalent to local sales tax, VAT, or GST. We recommend checking with your local customs authority or freight agent for an advance estimate. We are happy to provide all necessary product documentation (HS codes, material declarations, wood species forms, Lacey Act compliance for the USA, etc.) to facilitate smooth customs clearance.
For all sea shipments destined for the United States of America, ISF (Importer Security Filing) — also known as the "10+2" filing — is mandatory as required by US Customs and Border Protection (CBP).
We provide ISF filing as a standard service for US-bound sea shipments. If the client has engaged their own freight agent in the USA, that agent can also arrange ISF filing independently. For more details, visit the official CBP resource at cbp.gov – ISF Information.
Once the vessel is loaded, a Bill of Lading (B/L) is issued — this serves as the official proof of shipment and title to the goods. We provide all documentation required for customs clearance, including:
All documentation is typically processed in soft copy (digital) format unless the destination country's customs regulations expressly require physical originals.
We have active clients and fulfilled orders in the following countries, among many others. If your country is not listed, please contact us — we deliver almost everywhere.
