Acceptance of Terms

By visiting our website, browsing our catalogue, submitting a quote request, or placing an order with Guruji Chair / Aarsun Woods, you confirm that you:

• Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract.
• Have read and agreed to these Terms of Use in their entirety.
• Have read and agreed to our Privacy Policy, Shipping Policy, and Returns & Refunds Policy.

If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our website or place any orders with us.

Products & Orders

Guruji Chair offers premium handcrafted wooden furniture — including Singhasan (thrones), Guru Ji chairs, Gaddi Aasan (sacred seating), Mudha chairs, sofa sets, and related ceremonial and spiritual furniture — manufactured entirely by hand at our workshop in Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh, India.

• All products are made-to-order. Production typically begins only after order confirmation and advance payment receipt.
• Product images on the website are representative. Actual products may vary slightly in grain, colour, and texture due to the natural characteristics of wood and the handcrafted manufacturing process.
• Dimensions and specifications listed are indicative. Exact specifications will be confirmed in writing before production begins for custom orders.
• We reserve the right to decline any order at our sole discretion, including orders that cannot be fulfilled due to material availability or production constraints.

Custom & Made-to-Order Products

The majority of Guruji Chair products are made entirely to your specifications. By placing a custom order, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

• Custom orders require detailed specification agreement (dimensions, wood type, carving design, upholstery, finish) to be confirmed in writing before production begins.
• Once confirmed and production has commenced, custom orders cannot be cancelled, and advance payments are non-refundable, except where the company is at fault for a quality defect or damage.
• Minor natural variations in wood grain, colour shade, and handcarved details are inherent characteristics of artisan-crafted furniture and do not constitute defects.
• Lead times for custom orders range from 4 to 16 weeks depending on design complexity, materials, and current production schedule. The lead time will be confirmed at the time of order.
• The company is not liable for delays arising from circumstances beyond its control, including natural events, supply chain disruptions, or force majeure.

Pricing & Payment

All prices are quoted in Indian Rupees (INR) for domestic orders. For international orders, pricing may be quoted in INR or agreed upon in another currency at the time of order confirmation.

• Prices are subject to change without prior notice on our website catalogue. Confirmed order prices will not be changed after written order confirmation.
• Applicable GST (currently at the rate mandated by the Government of India) is included or added to domestic order pricing as communicated at checkout or invoice stage.
• For international orders, the quoted price covers the product and domestic handling only. Import duties, customs taxes, and port charges at the destination are the sole responsibility of the buyer.
• An advance payment is required to commence production on all orders. The advance amount and payment schedule will be specified at the time of order confirmation.
• We accept bank transfers (NEFT/RTGS/IMPS/SWIFT), UPI, and other payment methods as agreed. Payment must be received and confirmed before production begins.

Delivery & Shipping

We deliver across India and to 55+ countries internationally. Full details of our delivery process, shipping modes, and international freight options are set out in our Shipping Policy.

• Delivery timelines provided are estimates only. The company is not liable for delays caused by logistics partners, customs clearance, weather events, or circumstances outside our control.
• Risk of loss and title for all products pass to the buyer upon handover to the logistics carrier at our Saharanpur facility.
• The buyer is responsible for all import duties, customs fees, and destination port charges for international orders.
• If an order cannot be delivered due to an incorrect address or the recipient being unavailable repeatedly, the buyer bears any re-delivery or storage charges incurred.
• After 90 days of completed production, if the order has not been dispatched due to client delay, the company reserves the right to dispose of the goods and forfeit the advance payment.

Returns & Cancellations

• Returns for damage, defects, or incorrect product must be reported within 72 hours of receipt with supporting photographic evidence.
• No returns are accepted after 15 days of receipt, or for used products.
• Custom orders are not returnable unless there is a verified quality or damage issue.
• Client-initiated cancellations of confirmed custom orders result in forfeiture of advance payment.
• Refunds for company-cancelled orders are processed within 24–48 business hours.

Intellectual Property

All content on the Guruji Chair website — including text, images, photographs, product designs, logos, brand name, and the "Aarsun" and "Guruji Chair" trademarks — is the intellectual property of Aarsun Woods Private Limited and is protected under Indian and international intellectual property law.

Aarsun is an internationally registered trademark in 35 countries, including registrations with WIPO, EUIPO, the United States Patent and Trademark Office, the UK Intellectual Property Office, and IP Australia.

• You may not reproduce, copy, distribute, or commercially exploit any content from this website without our prior written consent.
• Product designs, carving patterns, and bespoke designs created by our artisans remain the intellectual property of Aarsun Woods unless expressly assigned in writing.
• Unauthorised use of our trademarks or brand identity constitutes infringement and will be pursued under applicable law.

Acceptable Website Use

When using our website, you agree not to:

• Use the website for any unlawful purpose or in a way that violates applicable local, national, or international law.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the website, server, or connected systems.
• Introduce viruses, malware, or any other harmful technology to the website.

Limitation of Liability

• Indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses arising from use of our products or website.
• Delays or failures in delivery caused by logistics partners, customs authorities, natural events, or force majeure.
• Import duties, taxes, or additional charges levied by customs authorities in the destination country.
• Minor variations in wood grain, colour, or texture inherent in natural handcrafted products.
• Losses arising from your failure to comply with customs or import regulations in your country.
• Any reliance you place on information found on third-party websites linked from our site.

Our total liability to you in respect of any order shall not exceed the total price paid by you for that specific order.

Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for personal injury or death caused by our negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law.

Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms of Use are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising from or related to these Terms, our products, or any transaction with Guruji Chair shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh, India.

We believe that most disputes can be resolved through direct and open communication. Before initiating any formal legal proceedings, we encourage you to contact us first so we can attempt to resolve the matter amicably — as per our guiding philosophy that any issue can be sorted through mutual discussion.

For international customers, nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer under the applicable laws of your country of residence.

We reserve the right to revise and update these Terms of Use at any time. Changes will be effective from the date they are posted on this page, and the "Last Updated" date will be revised accordingly. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.
